The General Grant Tree is the most famous sequoia in Kings Canyon National Park and the world's third largest tree. The 1/3-mile hike from the trailhead off Wolverton Road to the tree takes you into the Grant Grove and passes the resorted Gamlin Cabin and the Fallen Monarch, a toppled sequoia you can walk through.
