Siyeh Pass Area Trail Details
This high-elevation hike starts at Siyeh Bend, a turnoff from Going-to-the-Sun Road. On this hike, you'll pass through dense forest and a glacially carved valley full of alpine meadows and wildflowers (depending on the season). The last section is the steepest, but when you reach the top of the pass you can celebrate by ringing the bell. Siyeh Pass is one of four places in the park borrowing from a Swiss tradition of having bells on high mountain passes. You'll also get incredible views from the pass, which sits at about 8,000 feet. Remember, Glacier is grizzly country. Carry bear spray, make noise and travel in groups. The trailhead is at Siyeh Bend.
