Tours in the park include the Crystal Cave tour as well as horseback trail rides. You can purchase Crystal Cave tour tickets in advance either [online](http://www.explorecrystalcave.com/) (preferable, as the tour tends to sell out quickly) or at park visitor centers on the day of your desired tour. Tickets are never sold at the cave. Crystal Cave Road is 15 miles from the Sequoia Park entrance at Highway 198, and the maximum vehicle length on the road is 22 feet. There are no restrooms in the caves, and you should wear sturdy shoes for the half-mile trail to the cave. Bring a jacket for the 48-degree temperatures you'll experience underground. Baby backpacks, strollers, and camera tripods are not allowed, and the tour is not wheelchair accessible. The 45-minute cave tours take place daily every half-hour, with the frequency determined by season. Guided horseback tours are available every summer at the parks two stables. The rides are $40 for one hour or $70 for two hours, and reservations are recommended. Grant Grove Stables, inside Kings Canyon, offers rides from early June to September. Call 559-335-9292 (summer) or 559-799-7247 (off-season) for more information. Cedar Grove Pack Station, also in Kings Canyon, offers rides from May to mid-October. Call 559-565-3464 (summer) or 559-337-2413 (off season) for more information.
