Static Peak Divide Details

Static Peak Divide is a Teton Range mountain pass at 10,800 feet of elevation, just west of Static Peak. The trail passes the patrol cabin in Death Canyon as it runs parallel to Death Canyon Creek, climbing higher into the glacier-carved canyon and getting ever steeper before you top the canyon wall. From the pass, the views in all directions are among the best in the park. An ice axe may be necessary until August. The hike begins at the Death Canyon Trailhead.
