Garnet Canyon Details
Hikers trek into Garnet Canyon for beautiful views. A flat start quickly gives way to some elevation gain through forest, with occasional breaks offering views of Grand Teton, Mt. Owen, and the town of Jackson Hole before ascending along a narrow ridge between Glacier Gulch and Burned Wagon Gulch. The switchback section that follows is particularly strenuous, but the trail eventually eases off before dropping into Garnet Canyon. This trail intersects with the Valley Trail and the Amphitheater Lake Trail. The hike begins at the Lupine Meadows Trailhead, which is west of Lupine Meadows Junction off Teton Park Road.
