Hurricane Hill Details
This stunning trail leading over the sides of Hurricane Hill offers some of the most wide-open, sensational vistas across the Olympic Peninsula. The well-graded, paved trail goes almost all the way to the Hill's summit, featuring continuously open views from start to finish, and includes only a few steep climbs and switchbacks. Trailside signs highlight some of the characteristics of the subalpine environment, including guides to help identify the lupine, lilies, and yarrow that line the trail. Along with the dozens of summits visible along the trail, Mt. Olympus, Port Angeles, Klahanae Ridge, Blue Mountain, the Bailey Range, and the Cascade Mountains among the many features visible from the 5,757-foot summit. (Wheelchair accessible first 0.5 miles only.)
