Hurricane Ridge Nature Trails Details

One of the most popular areas of Olympic National Park, Hurricane Ridge offers mile-high ridgeline paths overlooking spectacular vistas of the surrounding peaks, the Olympic Coast, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and the Glacial Cirque. This self-guided nature trail leaves from the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center and climbs gently over the crest of the ridge. Although it contains a few short, steep climbs, this paved trail is a pleasant trek through subalpine meadows filled with wildflowers, dense groves of firs, and exposed ridges, and generally requires little effort while yielding dramatic views. Trailside illustrations and exhibits further describe the flora, fauna, history, and geology of the Hurricane Ridge area.
