Grant Village Details
Named for President Ulysses S. Grant, who signed the law establishing Yellowstone as the worlds first national park in 1872, Grant Village sits near the West Thumb of Yellowstone Lake and offers a comfortable, modern base in the parks southern region. Built in 1984, the complex includes six two story lodge buildings with 50 rooms each, all with private bathrooms. Please note that there are no elevators. The village features both a full service restaurant and a more casual lakeside dining option, along with a lounge and small gift store. Its location makes it especially convenient for exploring the southern reaches of Yellowstone and for continuing on to nearby Grand Teton National Park. Guest rooms are simple and practical, offering either two double beds or one queen bed, along with a private bath, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, heat, fan, and other basic amenities. As with all Yellowstone park lodging, accommodations are non smoking and designed to reflect the natural setting. There is no air conditioning, television, radio, or internet service, and cell coverage is limited. Pets are not allowed except for service animals. ADA rooms are available in limited numbers. The 2026 season runs from May 29 to mid-October, with dates subject to change.
