Canyon Campground Details

Just a mile from the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Canyon Campground is one of the parks most popular places to pitch a tent or park an RV. Set among lodgepole pines in a central location, it offers easy access to canyon overlooks and trailheads, with some paths leading directly from the campground to the rim. Canyon Village is a short walk away, with dining, shopping, and the Canyon Visitor Center close at hand. The campground has more than 270 individual sites for tents, RVs, combination setups, and ADA needs, along with walk in sites for hikers and cyclists. Sites range from shady to more open and sunny, and all include a picnic table and fire grate. RVs up to 40 feet can be accommodated in select sites, though space for larger rigs is limited and terrain may be uneven. Amenities include multiple comfort stations with flush toilets and cold running water, dishwashing areas, a dump station, recycling, and a nearby camper services building with showers and laundry facilities. Campsite rates include two showers per night, excluding group sites. There are no electrical, water, or sewer hookups at individual sites. Internet service is not available in the campground and cell coverage is limited. The season runs from late-May to late-September. Dates are subject to change.
