Sandy Stream Pond Trail Details

This trail is one of the most popular trails for viewing wildlife, particularly moose. After leaving Roaring Brook Campground, you cross over the bridge for Roaring Brook and pass the junction with the Russell Pond Trail. After 0.7 miles you arrive at the viewpoint known as the Big Rock where you can catch your first glimpse of a moose. From there you continue to the junction with South Turner Mountain Trail, then turn west for another 0.7 mile to the junction with Russell Pond trail. Continue south on Russell Pond Trail for 1.1 miles to return to Roaring Brook Campground.
