A direct route into the North Basin from Basin Ponds. After leaving Chimney Pond Trail 2.3 miles from Roaring Brook Campground, you will pass by some beaver ponds and then climb steeply to its junction with North Basin Trail 0.3 miles south of Blueberry Knoll.
