Tenaya Lake Details

This trail provides an easy stroll along the southern shore of Tenaya Lake and offers beautiful views across the lake and of surrounding peaks and domes. Tenaya Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in Yosemite and doesn't have the crowds which are often found in Yosemite Valley. This is an excellent place to stop and relax before proceeding to Tuolumne Meadows or Yosemite Valley. Trailhead: The trail can be accessed from either the trailhead at the eastern end of Tenaya Lake or the Sunrise Lake Trailhead. Restrooms: There are semi-permanent pit toilets located at Tenaya Lake East and Sunrise Lakes parking lots.
