When you stop at this small parking area, be sure to check out the interpretive sign that describes the Populus tremuloides, or quaking aspen. Located at this point is one of the most beautiful groves of quaking aspen in the Park. Observe the smooth, cream-colored bark that is covered with black markings. In the fall, the leaves will become golden to yellow and provide a beautiful contrast to the vivid blue California sky. Quaking Aspen Falls, a 25-foot, multi-stranded waterfall, is also a short distance away. Roadside marker: T16
