Yosemite Falls View (V19) Details
From this meadow, you have a wonderful view of Yosemite Falls. These majestic falls begin where the rushing Yosemite Creek seems to virtually jump off the edge of Eagle Creek Meadow. At 2,425 feet, it claims the title of the highest falls in North America and flows at an average rate of 300 cubic feet per second during its peak in late spring. Lined by steep granite cliffs and stately evergreens, the falls consist of three sections: the Upper Falls, the Middle Cascades, and the Lower Falls. While the Lower and Upper Falls are accessible by the nearby Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls trails, the rocky Middle Cascades are too treacherous to be considered approachable. The waterfall flows approximately November through July, with peak flow in May. Roadside marker: V19
