North Fork Falls Details

If you are up for a little adventure, then you will love seeking out these picturesque waterfalls for a day of swimming. Located along the North Fork of the American River, these waterfalls range anywhere from 10 to 25-feet in height and have pools with refreshing snowmelt waters from the mountains. To reach the waterfalls, you will first need to head to the North Folk Campground. From there, you will have to follow the river downstream for 1/4 of a mile until you reach the first upper falls. The subsequent waterfalls are only accessible by jumping from the upper falls or scrambling down the rocks, which make for quite a fun and unique experience.
