Named for a borax baron and located in a wildly eroded section of Death Valley National Park, the views from Zabriskie Point are of the badlands created when the climate of the valley shifted from holding lakes to an arid land of eroding sedimentary rock. You can enjoy the views (and the park's best sunrises and sunsets) from an overlook a few steps from the Zabriskie Point parking lot, just east of Furnace Creek on Highway 190.
