Angels Flight Railway Details

Los Angeles may not have the most intricate public transportation system, but at least they have this exciting and historic funicular in Bunker Hill. The two cars travel along a 298-foot trail, making this the shortest railway in the entire world. The funicular opened in 1901, although it closed in the 1960s and remained in storage until it was rebuilt in 1996. Although it is at a different location than the original funicular, the track still uses the same cars.
