Winchester Mystery House Details

This Victorian mansion may look innocent enough from the outside, but on the inside, it is a maze of secret passages, hidden walkways, and staircases that lead to nowhere. It is also quite large, featuring 160 rooms, 40 bedrooms, 10,000 windows, and 2,000 doors. Legend has it that the owner of the house, Sarah Winchester, was haunted by spirits from people killed with guns from her husbands rifle company, Winchester Rifle. Physic convinced her to move to California, purchase a home, and build a labyrinth of rooms and hallways that would detour the paranormal spirits from finding her.
