Fossil Falls Details

Do not expect to come here and see plunging waterfalls and glistening pools. While this volcanic-sculpted landscape once had a river flowing through it, it has completely dried up over thousands of years. Now all that is left is a 70-foot dry waterfall and acres of barren, rocky canyons. From the parking lot, it is a short .2-mile walk to see the falls. Just be wary that this area can be very hot and humid, so bring sun protection and lots of water if you are planning to spend time exploring the area.
