Fern Canyon Details
A lush oasis inside of Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, this canyon is marked by its vine and fern-covered cliffs, some of which stand nearly 50-feet tall. You can see five different native species of ferns here, although you will also see spruces, conifers, mosses, and other plants growing here too. The hiking trail that leads through the canyon is incredibly scenic, although it is along a creek bed, so be prepared to get a little wet. However, there are footbridges at some crossings to help make your journey a little drier.
