This 31-mile highway that travels through Humbolt Redwoods State Park is one of the most scenic forest drives in the world. The entire road is lined by colossal California redwood trees, including the ancient 250-foot tall Immortal Tree and the Drive-Through Tree. The road also follows the Eel River, so there are plenty of places where visitors can stop to go swimming, paddling, or fishing. It is also worth making a stop at Founder's Grove, where a 1/2-mile trail takes hikers to see Founders Tree and Dyerville Giant.
