Huntington Central Park Details

Orange Countys largest city-owned park attracts many birds migrating along the Pacific Flyaway. Yellow-rumped Warblers and Townsends can be spotted here in winter, while Annas Hummingbirds, California Towhees, and Red-shouldered hawks are more native to the area. Despite being a manmade park that was built over an old oil field, this property has grown to become a serene natural area with ponds, marshes, grasses, and forests. Come early in the morning for the best bird sightings, and stay to have a picnic or lunch at one of the two restaurants on-site.
