Hayward Regional Shoreline Details

Hugging the shoreline of San Francisco Bay, this popular birding destination features over 1,800-acres of marshes, wetlands, and coastline. Over 200 species of native and migratory birds have been documented here, including the American Avocet, Least Sandpiper, Black-necked Stilt, and Great Egret. The park also features 5-miles of graveled trails for walking, jogging, or bike riding. It is also possible to fish, although the marshes are off-limits.
