Sand Dollar Beach Details
Shaped like a horseshoe, this beach is the largest continuous stretch of sand on the Big Sur coastline. But despite its size, it remains one of the least visited beaches in the area. So if you are looking for a relaxing and quiet place to unwind or have a picnic, then this might just be the best place for you. While the crashing waves are good for surfing, the main attraction here is beachcombing. Not only are the shores littered with sand dollars (hence the name), but you will also be able to find jade, serpentine, and other minerals and gemstones.
