Easily one of the most visited beaches in Southern California, this 1.5-mile-long shoreline is buzzing with activity at every hour of the day. Swimmers, sunbathers, and surfers come here in the morning and afternoon to take advantage of the warm sunshine and amazing ocean waves. And once the sun sets, the Redondo Pier becomes alive as the bars and restaurants open their doors for the evening. This beach is also a great spot to look for grey whales that stop here on their migratory route down to Mexico. There are several kayaking tours and whale watching cruises available in case you want to see these majestic creatures up close.
