This 2.1-mile-long beach on the South Bay of Los Angeles attracts almost 4 million visitors a year, making it one of the most visited areas of the city. People come from all over the world for great swimming and surfing conditions, although you will also find tons of sunbathers and volleyball players on the shores as well. The paved Strand pathway also starts here and winds down the coast to both Hermosa and Redondo Beaches. There is also a separate 2.1-mile walkway for pedestrians next to the coast, as well as the Veterans Parkway path that runs next to Valley Drive.
