Famous for its rainbow-colored bungalows, delicious seafood restaurants, and charming boutique shops, this beach feels more Mediterranean than Californian. It overlooks the northern cove of Monterey Bay and features a long stretch of sand where you can lazily spend the day swimming, surfing, or sunbathing. When the sun starts to set, take a stroll down the Capitola Wharf. This 855-foot long pier has one of the best views of the village and surrounding landscapes. Despite being so close to Santa Cruz, this little beach is the perfect hideaway to enjoy the California Coast.
