Avila Beach Details

This neighborhood beach has something for everybody. Located in the heart of downtown Avila, this 1/2-mile stretch of shoreline has swimming, kayaking, bodyboarding, sunbathing, volleyball, and basketball. Although it is located close to town (so you can quickly pop over for lunch or snacks), you can also try to claim one of the 6 grills and picnic tables for an evening BBQ instead. There are three piers along the coast, although the main Avila Beach Pier is the only one accessible to tourists and recreational fishermen. It is 1,685-feet long and is great for a mid-afternoon or early-evening walk.
