McCloud River Details
There are three beautiful waterfalls located along this river, each one with idyllic pools perfect for an afternoon of swimming. Lower Falls has a short 15-foot drop with an emerald green pool that is popular for swimming and cliff jumping. With a plummet of nearly 40feet, Middle Falls is the largest of the three, with a pool that is accessible by climbing over the rocks. Upper Falls is the best place to escape the crowds, as its sheltered swimming pool is smaller than the others. Each waterfall has its own parking lot if you are driving, although it is much more scenic to take the 3.6-mile roundtrip McCloud River Falls trail if you are up for more of an adventure.
