Hermit Falls Details
Thrill-seekers are guaranteed to enjoy a day at this waterfall and swimming hole. Located at the end of a short 1.3-mile hike from Chantry Flat, this waterfall is bordered on all sides by rocky ledges perfect for cliff jumping. If you come after heavy rainfall, the current will even be high enough to slide down the natural rock slide into the pools. The trail drops you off at the top of the waterfall, so swimmers will need to climb down the rocks in order to reach the base. Another option is to simply jump from the top (although it is important to check that the water is deep enough first!).
