Cleos Bath Details
Tucked away in the Stanislaus National Forest sits this picturesque swimming hole along the South Fork Stanislaus River. The pool itself is roughly 60-feet across, although it is only about five or six feet deep. Next to the main pool is a small waterfall with a much deeper pool better for cliff jumping. But be prepared to work hard to visit this serene oasis. The 4-mile hike to this swimming hole is rated as difficult due to the rock scrambling and nearly vertical ascent on the trail to reach it. If the journey proves too difficult, there are other smaller swimming holes on the way that you can visit instead.
