Crossing the mighty Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, this world-famous trail is one of the best multi-day hikes through the Sequoia National Park. Making your way west to east, you ascend over Kaweah Gap and the Great Western Divide as well as the Eastern Sierra and Trail Crest at Mount Whitney. This epic trail is 49-miles long, so you should plan 6 or 7 days to make the entire trek. You can also choose to summit the top of Mount Whitney, which will add another 12.6-miles to your journey. It is best suited for moderate or experienced hikers, not just because of the length, but because of the scrambling and climbing that is also required.
