Cathedral Lakes Details

As one of the best hikes in Yosemite National Park, this 8.2-mile trail is something you will not want to miss during your visit. It is a high-elevation hike (you will ascend nearly 1,000-feet in 3.5 miles), although the view is well worth it for those who manage to make it to the end. From here, you will see the snow-capped Cathedral Peak in the distance with a sparkling alpine lake sitting at its base. The entire area is surrounded by grassy meadows (with blooming wildflowers in spring) with the occasional deer frolicking through.
