Bridge to Nowhere Details
This is a fun all-day hike to an unusual 130-foot concrete bridge built over the San Gabriel River. The bridge is not attached to anything (hence the name) after a flood swept away the connecting road in the late 1930s. But before you reach the bridge (which is great for swimming), you will traverse through steep canyons and make several river crossings throughout the 10-mile round trip trail. Not everything is well-marked, although past hikers have left white and red markings on the rocks as guidance.
