Rim of the World Scenic Byway Details

This epic road trip takes you past some of the most scenic areas west of Los Angeles. Starting at Cajon Pass, you'll enjoy a mix of mountains, lakes, and lush green forests as you snake 110-miles across the rim of the San Bernardino Mountains. There are a few must-see detours along the way. If the weather is warm, you can cool off in the refreshing waters at Lake Arrowhead or Big Bear Lake. More adventurous travelers can also go ziplining through the forest or hiking on one of the numerous trails that wind through the mountains. Keep in mind that this area can see snow in the winter months, so it is important to have chains if you are visiting in December or January.
