Experience the full array of Californias landscapes when you drive this scenic byway in Southern California. Start your trip at the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains Visitor Center which is smack in the middle of the Palm Desert. In just over an hour (without stopping), you will wind your way from the desert floor to the mountains pine forests near the Indian Vista Viewpoint. The trip ends in Banning, where you can grab a bite to eat or loopback onto Interstate 10 to head to Palm Springs.
