Steeped in legend and mystery, this 89-mile byway is famous for its alleged Bigfoot sightings. You will start at Willow Creek, the Gateway to Bigfoot Country passing by untamed rivers, dense wooded forests, and Native American reservations as you hunt for this elusive creature. Even if you can not find him wandering through the woodlands, you still might be able to see other wildlife, including black bears, deer, bald eagles, and falcons. Other stops along the way include Don Cave Memorial Park, the Bigfoot Museum, and the Hoopa Tribal Museum. You can also make a stop at Redwood National Park to see some of the oldest, tallest, redwood trees in the world.
