Alberta Falls Details
This short, scenic trail leads to the immensely popular Alberta Falls where Glacier Creek leaps from worn, spruce-lined granite cliffs, and cascades through a rock chute to the lichen and moss-covered boulders below. The trail to the falls is relatively flat, with only a few moderate climbs, and is lightly shaded by aspen that thrived after the forest fires during the early 1900s. The canopy occasionally opens for decent views of the Mummy Range, but the trail's main attraction is the falls themselves. If you are accessing the falls from Bear Lake, the trail is 0.9 miles, approximately 40 minutes and has an elevation change of -75 feet.
