Chasm Falls Details
Considered by some to be the most impressive waterfall on the east side of Rocky Mountain National Park, this popular falls feature a playful 25-foot vertical drop, as well as small cascades both above and below the falls. Situated between two massive boulders, the roaring falls are a popular summer destination, and are surrounded by a scrubby pine and aspen forest that provides a little shade in an otherwise very sunny area. The trail to the falls is quite easy, remaining fairly level, and following the first autoroute built in the park, which dates back to the 1920s. This trail is 2.2 miles from the winter gate along the Old Fall River Road.
