Stellafane Observatory Details
Perched atop Breezy Hill in Springfield, this historic observatory dates back to the early 1920s. It was built by the Springfield Telescope Makers club and used as a congregation space and clubhouse for professional and amateur astronomers. The clubhouse is still used every year for the annual Stellafane Astronomical Convention. The original observatory is still intact and features a reinforced concrete dome and a 12-inc reflecting turret telescope.
