Scott Covered Bridge Details
Stretching 277-feet across the West River in Townshend, this historic wood bridge is over 150 years old. Although much of the original structure is intact, it has been modified several times with trusses and arches for support. In addition, it went through a $2.35 million renovation to strengthen the structure so it could continue to be used for foot and bike traffic (although it is still closed to vehicles).
