This building is an authentic replica of the 19th-century home where the 21st President of the United States, Chester A. Arthur, was born. It also happens to be the first historic site ever to be owned by the State of Vermont. Reconstruction was done entirely using old photographs of the home. Inside, there is a marker of Arthurs birthplace, although the truth of this spot has been debated by historians for decades.
