Straddling the two sides over Otter Creek, this historic bridge was built in 1842 in a single-span Town lattice pattern. It is 139-feet long and was constructed using stone and marble, although the exterior structure is made of wood. This bridge has stood the test of time and survived the harshest of elements. A flood in 1927 swept it off beams and floated it down the river for 1.5 miles. Surprisingly, the entire structure remained intact, which is why many locals refer to it as the bridge that went on a voyage.
