This sparkling 1,687-acre glacial lake sits cradled in the Willoughby State Forest between Mount Pisgah and Mount Hor. Because it is protected between the two peaks, it has a unique ecological environment where arctic and cliff-alpine plants can flourish. This is also a popular spot for hikers who climb the peaks of the mountain to enjoy the sweeping vista over the lake below. Other visitors come to the beaches, where they can swim and fish along the sandy shores.
