The area around this sparkling 182-acre pond is a paradise for birdwatchers. The waters are teeming with Canada Geese, Common Mergansers, Mallards, and American Black Ducks, although you will likely see more than just waterfowl during your visit. Walk around the 693-acres of surrounding forest and meadows and admire the Yellow warblers, Red-tailed hawks, barred owls, and even bald eagles flying above. There is a lot of territories to cover, although taking the Loop Trail around the perimeter of the pond is guaranteed to give you some great sightings.
