Dating back to 1785, this was once the countries first marble quarry, although it has become a popular spot for swimmers starting in the 1920s. The marble here has been used in numerous influential buildings, including the New York Public Library, the Memorial Continental Hall of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and Brown University.
