Chasing the banks of the Black River, this 3.2-mile long trail is a fun downhill ride with tons of scenic sights to see along the way. You will travel through wooded forest, past downtown Springfield, and even past plummeting waterfalls. It is a flat, well-maintained paved path that is suitable for all types of cyclists. This rail to trail conversion path used to be the track of the Springfield Electric Railway (also known as the Toonerville Trolley to locals), which once provided transportation to downtown Springfield.
