The Long Trail Details

Arguably the most famous trail in all of Vermont, this epic 273-mile journey is a must-do for avid hikers. It runs the entire length of the state from the border of Massachusetts all the way to the edge of Canada. Along the way, you will pass through six wilderness areas and summit to the top of some of the largest mountains in the area. Constructed between 1910 and 1930, this is the oldest long-distance trail in the United States. Even if you only do individual segments of the trail (the complete journey would take you about 3 weeks), you will still earn your bragging rights of conquering one of the most iconic hikes of all time.
