U.S.S. Albacore Details
This research submarine was one of the fastest and most advanced subs ever to be designed by the US Navy. She was used for over 20 decades and made astonishing breakthroughs in radar, code-breaking, and hydrodynamic technologies. Unfortunately, repeated engine failure required that she be decommissioned, and in 1985, she was sent to the Portsmouth Harbor to be displayed and opened as a museum. During your visit, you can walk along with the interior rooms and listen to different crew members stories about their time spent on this record-breaking sub.
