The Swing Bridge Details

This suspended 275-foot long bridge stretches over the Souhegan River and is one of the only surviving suspension bridges from the 19th century and the only remaining bridge built by the Berlin Iron Bridge Company. Despite its age, this bridge is completely safe for crossing into downtown Milford. Although it does bounce a little, it does not swing back and forth as its name would imply. Plus, you get beautiful views of the river and surrounding foliage as you cross.
